What is
User Persona?
User Persona
are the heart of any user-centric design. It’s trigger Empathy to motivate
users. User Persona is a representation of our model users. It makes users
based on qualitative and quantitative data. Persona helps to understand users’
needs, experiences, behaviors and goals.
Why are
User Personas important?
If a product is created without
a User Persona, then the product is not user focused. Then the main focus of
the product becomes only business and implementation. So user personas are very
important in every product journey. It solves issues during design critique.
How to create User Persona?
The most important thing before
creating user personas is to gather user data. It can be through context
inquiry, survey, user interview, Ethnography. The ideal sample size for user
personas should be between 5 and 8 users. For Next Part, the customer's demographic and technological data should be
presented well through a template. Sample of Demographic Data : Age, Location, Education, Profession,
Income. Sample of Technologic Data : Comfort with Technology, Computer, Smartphone,
Tab, Other Devices.
After that, the user's brand affinity and pain points should be highlighted in
2 separate segments. Finally, create a user persona based on the user's needs and goals.
